Once advertised, applications for pupillage should be emailed to pupillage@nsqb.co.uk* with a one-page covering letter and two-page curriculum vitae. All offers of pupillage are made strictly on merit, including intellectual ability, appreciation of professional ethics and potential in oral and written advocacy.

Pupillage

Chambers welcomes applications for mini-pupillage on a rolling basis. As a minimum requirement, prospective mini-pupils must either be enrolled on or have completed a BPTC programme (or equivalent). Applicants should email a one-page covering letter (including preferred dates) and a two-page curriculum vitae to lee.mason@nsqb.co.uk, subject: “MINI-PUPILLAGE”.

Mini-pupillages are normally one or two weeks in duration. Whilst mini-pupillages do not form part of our pupillage selection procedure, they do provide prospective pupillage applicants with an introduction to a busy and successful set of chambers, particularly for those interested in family law. Mini-pupils will have an opportunity to experience the kind of work that we do – usually spending time with at least two members of Chambers – as well as having the chance to experience the ethos and atmosphere of Chambers.

Due to the highly private and sensitive nature of our work, successful applicants will be required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement before commencing their mini-pupillage. All offers of mini-pupillage are made strictly on merit, including intellectual ability and potential in oral and written advocacy.

Mini-Pupillage

Chambers welcomes applications from established practitioners or those newly-qualified, including those who have completed pupillage and are looking for a Third Six (Probationary Tenancy). Applicants should email lee.mason@nsqb.co.uk, subject “TENANCY” or “THIRD SIX”, to arrange an initial informal and discreet chat.
